Data Science is a buzzy term which usually means a company is spending a lot of money on expensive data sets or doing linear regression. EMJ has invested in data science for the last 3 years and gone down many blind alleys which has eaten into our ITD net performance. Yet, we’ve continued to make the investment.
Our data science program is focused on our 25 Best Ideas strategy:

• What KPIs make a stock a good candidate to join the existing portfolio?
• What warning signs should we look for when an existing member of the portfolio should be dropped?
